Flashers are a great tool for hunting pelagic fish, but can also work very well on reef species. This small-sized flasher can be stored on your belt for when you need it. When noticing the approach of the fish or school, this flasher should be launched out of the water in the direction of the fish or school to attract them within a useful shooting distance. When the flasher hits the water, fish like wahoo instantly change direction to investigate.
The flasher is reflected and descends slowly, taking about two minutes to reach 15m. For those who prefer a faster sink rate, just cut off a portion of the rubber strip and it will sink faster.
These Flshers were developed and tested by the team at Palapas Ventanas in Mexico and are made by the residents of this community. They are a modest way of giving back to the local community that has been so hospitable to the spearfishing community.
